Governance & Development Index.One score for each of 161 countries, compared on the same basis from 2017 to 2025.
The index summarises eight published governance and development measures from Transparency International, the World Bank and UNDP into a single score and rank. The 2025 window uses observations dated 2023 to 2025. A rank is a position among 161 countries; a score is a position on a fixed 0–100 scale. They can move in opposite directions.
Research release cfa-continuity-2026-v1, published by Latenta Ltd, London. A manuscript describing the factor method is under peer review; we will cite it when it is published. The model’s failed checks and its limits are published with the results. ·
